How Yacht Creator works in game: the 42 yacht berths, the yacht shop and its modifications, keys and the doorbell, jacuzzi, bar, beds and showers, the captain, yacht vehicles, upgrades, vault codes, decorating and the phone app.
Yacht Creator has three interfaces, and each one has a single job:
Window | Opened with | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
Yacht Shop | The dealer at the Yacht Shop blip | Choosing a free berth at sea, configuring the yacht with a live 3D preview, naming it and buying it — with money or a Tebex ID. |
Yacht Management |
|
Keys, upgrades, radio, security cameras, lights, stash and wardrobe placement, transfer and sale.
Decorator | Decorate Yacht in Yacht Management | Buying, placing, storing and selling furniture with a free camera and gizmo. |
Yachts are not spawned anywhere you like — they are moored at the 42 yacht berths that GTA itself provides, and each berth holds one yacht. A berth that is owned disappears from the shop until its yacht is sold.
Slots | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|
0 – 35 | All around the coast of Los Santos and Blaine County | The classic GTA Online Super Yacht, with every modification, the doors and the full deck. |
36 | Far out to the east | The lost yacht from the Summer Special update. |
37 – 39 | Cayo Perico waters | The Cayo Perico Heist yachts. |
40 – 41 | Los Santos coast | The yachts from The Contract update. |
A yacht only exists for a player while they are within 500 m of it. Coming closer streams in that berth's map files, the hull options, doors, flag, lights, crew and furniture; sailing away removes them again, so 42 yachts cost nothing until someone visits one. The yacht's name is painted on both sides and the stern, readable within 150 m.
At the dealer, Open Shop (or E without a target script) flies the camera out to the first free berth, freezes the weather on a clear night and builds a preview yacht that changes as you pick options. Drag with the mouse to orbit and scroll to zoom.
The price is the base price (Config.ShopDefaultPrice, $5,000,000) plus the price of every option chosen, taken from Config.MoneyType (bank by default):
Option | Choices | Default price |
|---|---|---|
Model | The Orion · The Pisces · The Aquarius | $1,000 · $50,000 · $100,000 |
Color | 16 hull paints, from White to Garnet Red | $50,000 (White is included) |
Interior Lighting | Light Blue · White · Powder Blue · Purple | $75,000 |
Exterior LED | Orange · Blue · Pink · Green | $75,000 |
Railing | Chrome Fittings · Gold Fittings | $200,000 (Chrome is included) |
Flag | 46 national flags | $150,000 (the first one is included) |
Access | Public · Private | Free — a label stored with the yacht |
Every label and price is a row in Config.ModificationPrices, so you can rename or reprice any of them. Each player can own Config.MaxYachtsPerPlayer yachts (1 by default). Give the yacht a name — it is painted on the hull — and press Purchase Yacht.
Selling yachts for real money? The shop has a Tebex field that makes the purchase free. See Sell Yachts via Tebex.
Every yacht has one owner and any number of key holders. Everybody else is a guest.
Who | Can |
|---|---|
Owner | Everything: the captain, keys, upgrades, radio, vault codes, stash and wardrobe placement, transfer and sale. |
Key holder | Sees the yacht's blip, enters the cabin and the bridge, opens the stash (with the code, if one is set), drives the yacht's vehicles, decorates, and opens Yacht Management. |
Guest | Walks the deck, uses the jacuzzi and the railings, rides the vehicles as a passenger, and rings the doorbell. |
A guest at the main door presses G to ring. The owner — who must be online and inside the cabin — is told who is ringing and presses G to let them in or H to refuse. An answered ring walks the guest inside once; it does not give them a key. Unanswered rings expire after 60 seconds.
A player who logs out in the cabin or on the bridge reconnects in the same place: the script carries them to the yacht and replays the entry.
Entering and leaving the cabin or the bridge plays a short cinematic with door animations and sound. On board, every spot works with your target script, or with E when Config.UseTarget = false. Weapons are put away inside.
Activity | Where | Details |
|---|---|---|
Jacuzzi | Deck — Pisces and Aquarius | Six seats. Walking up to it changes the player into swimwear (Config.NakedPlayerClothes), and their clothes come back when they walk away. Steam, splashes and dripping hands included. |
Railings | Deck | Thirty lean spots, with a special pose at the bow. |
Seats | Cabin and bridge | Twenty-eight sofas and chairs. |
Beds | Cabin | Three beds, either side. Right mouse button to wake up. |
Showers | Cabin | Three showers with water and steam; clothes come off and back on. Right mouse button to step out. |
Bar | Cabin | The stewardess pours whisky. From the third drink the player is drunk, from the fifth the screen swims, and at ten the bar cuts them off. It wears off after Config.EffectDurations.alcohol (10 minutes), on death, or on leaving the cabin. |
Bong | Cabin | Lighter, smoke and a stagger while the animation plays. |
Radio | Whole yacht | 3D music from the deck, softer on the bridge and in the cabin. The owner sets the URL and volume. |
Seats, spots and showers are held by one player at a time across the server, so two people never end up in the same pose.
Owner and key holders enter the bridge through its doors. The captain stands at the helm and talks to the owner only, offering two things: Change Yacht Name (up to 100 characters, repainted on the hull at once) and Change Flag, charged at the flag's price.
Each model comes with its own fleet, moored at the stern with the anchor down and spawned by the first player to arrive:
Model | Helicopter | Boats | Jet skis |
|---|---|---|---|
The Orion | — |
| 1 × seashark3 |
The Pisces |
|
| 2 × seashark3 |
The Aquarius |
|
| 4 × seashark3 |
Only the owner and key holders can drive them — anyone else who takes the wheel is moved to a passenger seat. When the last player leaves the area, the empty vehicles are cleared. Models and positions are set in Config.YachtVehicles; set enabled = false to turn the fleet off.
Type /yachtMenu anywhere on your yacht. Key holders can open it too; the actions marked owner are refused for them.
Section | What it does |
|---|---|
Key Management | Owner. Give Keys lists the players within 10 m; the list of key holders lets you take a key back. Hide the button with Config.EnableKeyGiveFromUI = false. |
Locate Wardrobe / Locate Storage | Owner. Stand where it should be and press G. The yacht's main wardrobe and stash appear there for everyone. |
Decorate Yacht | Opens the decorator — see Decorating below. |
Radio | Owner. A YouTube or stream URL and a volume, heard by everyone on board. Empty falls back to Config.Sound. |
Property Upgrade | Owner. Buys the upgrades in the next table. |
Cameras | Every security camera placed on the yacht. Pick one to watch it; Backspace leaves. |
Lights | Every spotlight placed on the yacht: switch it on or off, rename it, choose any colour and an intensity from 1× to 100×. |
Transfer Ownership | Owner. Hands the yacht to a player within 10 m. Every key is revoked and the new owner starts fresh. |
Sell Yacht To Bank | Owner. Pays Config.YachtSellPercentage (70%) of the base price plus the modifications, deletes the yacht, its keys and its furniture, and returns the player to the Yacht Shop. |
Upgrade | Price | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
Furniture Upgrade | $50,000 | Raises the furniture limit from 50 to 150 pieces (Config.FurnitureLimits). |
Security Camera System | $75,000 | Watching the cameras you place, with a modern camera overlay instead of a peephole. |
Vault System | $30,000 | A code on the yacht stash and on every storage piece of furniture. |
Upgrades live in Config.Upgrades. Change the title, description and price freely, but keep each name — that is what the script checks.
With the Vault upgrade, the owner gets Manage Vault Code on the stash and on each storage piece: set a code on a keypad, or remove it. Each stash has its own code. Key holders are asked for it every time they open that stash; guests cannot open stashes at all.
The decorator turns the yacht into a furniture shop: pick a category, choose a piece and a colour, place it, and press Enter to buy it. Furniture is paid from Config.MoneyType and seen by everyone. Only one person can decorate a yacht at a time, and the decorator closes if the camera goes further than Config.MaximumDistanceForDecorate (350 m).
Key | Does |
|---|---|
| Toggle the free camera. |
| Show or hide the cursor. |
| Toggle free mode. |
| Switch between the mouse gizmo and the classic gizmo. |
| Switch between moving and rotating. |
| Drop the piece onto the floor under it. |
| Buy the piece. |
Keys are set in ActionControls at the bottom of config/main.lua. The decorator has three pages:
Page | What it is |
|---|---|
Dynamic | Furniture that does something: washing machines, fridges and cabinets that are stashes, wardrobes, security cameras and RGB spotlights. |
Objects | The whole catalogue by room — kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, outdoor — with search. |
Stash | Every piece already bought. Select one to move it, put it in storage (it disappears but stays yours), bring it back, or sell it for Config.SellObjectCommision (30%) of its price. |
A yacht holds 50 pieces, or 150 with the Furniture Upgrade. Furniture only spawns for players within Config.SpawnDistance (100 m). Each storage piece is its own stash, sized in config/furniture.lua; the yacht's main stash uses Config.DefaultStashData.
With qs-smartphone-pro running, players get a Yacht app listing every yacht they own or hold a key for, with its estimated value. From the phone they can set a waypoint to it, change the radio, give and take keys, buy upgrades, transfer or sell, check the stash and wardrobe positions and vault codes, and answer the doorbell.
Every option lives in config/main.lua. Restart the resource after a change.
