Install the Modern Garages Living shell pack on FiveM: download it from the Cfx.re portal, ensure modern_garages_living before your scripts and check it loads.
Modern Garages Living has very few requirements, because it only streams models. Check these before you install:
Requirement | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Cfx.re account | Required | Use the account you bought the pack with. Your server key ( |
Up-to-date server artifacts | Required | The download is protected by Cfx.re asset escrow, which old FXServer builds cannot verify. |
A garage or housing script |
Required to use the shells |
|
Framework | Not needed | The pack never calls a framework. ESX, QBCore, Qbox, ox_core and standalone servers all work. |
Database | Not needed | There is no SQL to import, and no tables are created. |
After you buy the pack, it is linked to your Cfx.re account automatically.
Use the same Cfx.re account you used at checkout. The pack does not appear on any other account.
Find Modern Garages Living [shells] in the list, then download and extract it.
After extracting, you should have this folder:
modern_garages_living/
├── fxmanifest.lua
└── stream/
├── qs_garage_shell_small_01.ydr / .ytyp
├── qs_garage_shell_small_02.ydr / .ytyp
├── qs_garage_shell_med_01.ydr / .ytyp
├── qs_garage_shell_med_02.ydr / .ytyp
└── qs_garage_shell_med_03.ydr / .ytypEach shell is a .ydr model that already contains its textures, lights and collision, plus a .ytyp file that registers it with the game. The download may also include a .fxap file, which is the Cfx.re protection file. Keep every file where it is.
Move the modern_garages_living folder into your server's resources directory. It can sit inside a category folder:
resources/
└── [maps]/
└── modern_garages_living/Then open server.cfg and start the pack before the scripts that use it:
ensure modern_garages_living
# the scripts that use the shells, after them
ensure qs-advancedgarages
ensure qs-housingStarting the shells first means the five models are already registered when a garage or house spawns its first interior, and when a creator checks that each shell model exists. Leave out the lines for scripts you don't run.
Restart the server. The console should show Started resource modern_garages_living without errors. If it shows an error instead, see Common Errors.
Register the five model names where your garage or housing script lists its shells. Integrations has the ready-made blocks for Advanced Garages, qs-housing and ps-housing.
Create a garage or a property that uses one of the shells, then enter it. The interior should load around you already lit, with solid floors and walls, and you should arrive just inside the door.
