Learn how to install Quasar Chess on your FiveM server, including dependencies, database setup, server configuration, and administrator permissions.
Before installing Quasar Chess, make sure your server meets the minimum requirements. The resource requires OneSync, a working MySQL database, and both ox_lib and oxmysql installed and running.
If you're using a modern ESX, QBCore, or QBox server, these dependencies are usually already installed.ç

After purchasing Quasar Chess, the resource is automatically linked to your CFX Portal account.
Sign in to the CFX Portal using the same account used during checkout, then open Granted Assets and locate Chess in your asset library. Download the latest version and extract the archive.
After extracting the download, you should have the following folder:
qs-chessMove the qs-chess folder into your server's resources directory. Although the resource can be placed anywhere inside the folder, keeping Quasar resources organized inside their own directory is recommended.
A typical installation looks like this:

└── qs-chess/Once the resource has been copied, open your server.cfg and ensure every required dependency starts before Quasar Chess.

ensure qs-chessQuasar Chess stores all created chess tables inside your server's database, allowing them to persist across server restarts.
Open your preferred database manager (such as phpMyAdmin, HeidiSQL, DBeaver, or Navicat), select your server's database, and execute the SQL script below.

) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8mb4 COLLATE=utf8mb4_unicode_ci;This script creates the required qs_chess_tables table used by Quasar Chess. Since it uses CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS, running it multiple times is completely safe and will never overwrite or delete your existing data.
After completing the installation, restart your FiveM server.
If everything has been configured correctly, the server console will display a message similar to the following:
[qs-chess] Loaded 0 table(s) from SQL.During the first installation, loading 0 tables is completely normal since no chess tables have been created yet.
Finally, join your server with an administrator account and execute the following command:
/chesscreatorIf the Chess Creator interface opens successfully, Quasar Chess has been installed correctly and your server is ready to create its first chess table.
