Crutches turns an injury into something a player has to live with. A paramedic prescribes crutches for a number of minutes, and from that moment the patient walks with a real crutch prop in hand, a limping walk, no sprinting, no jumping and no weapons. Take a hit and the crutch flies out of their hand and they go down; without it they can only crawl until they reach it and pick it up again. When the time runs out, the crutches come off on their own.
It is built for EMS and hospital roleplay on FiveM. Ambulance jobs get an in-game menu to apply or remove crutches on a nearby patient or by server ID, with a duration and a reason. Players can also use a crutch item on themselves. Every prescription is saved to the database, so leaving the server or restarting it does not cut the treatment short. Other scripts — a hospital, a death system, a fall-damage script — can apply and remove crutches with one export.

What it does#
Area | Details |
|---|---|
EMS prescriptions | A menu for ambulance jobs: pick the nearest patient or type a server ID, set the minutes and a reason, and remove crutches early when the patient is healed. |
Crutch item | A usable |
Movement | A crutch prop in the hand, an injured walk, and no sprinting, jumping, aiming, shooting, melee or weapon wheel while it lasts. |
Falls and crawling | Damage, a fall or a ragdoll knocks the crutch to the ground. Without it the patient crawls — forwards, backwards, turning and rolling over — until they pick it up again. |
Driving it from your own scripts? A hospital, a fall-damage script or a death system puts a player on crutches with
ForceCrutchand takes them off withRemoveCrutch. See Commands and Exports.
