Common Errors

What goes wrong most often, what it actually means, and what to do about it. Most problems come from the load order or a missing item — read the first section before anything else.

The resource does not start

The console names the missing dependency. qs-housing needs oxmysql, ox_lib, bob74_ipl and screenshot-basic started before it, and game build 3095 or newer:

bash

sv_enforceGameBuild 3095

If the console says You have renamed the script!, rename the folder back to .

Common Errors — Housing Creator | Quasar Store | Quasar Store

Black screen or falling when entering a shell

The shell model is not streamed. Ensure the [shells] resources before qs-housing, and check that the shell's model in Config.Shells matches the streamed name. On slow connections raise Config.DefaultRequestModelTimeout. The creator refuses a model that is not streamed with "Model is not valid".

An IPL house sends me back inside, or exits in the wrong place

IPL interiors with a zone keep the player inside it, and their exit comes from Config.IplData. Make sure bob74_ipl starts first and that you run the latest version.

"Please add PolyZone / exit coords" in the console

A house is missing a required point and is skipped. Open it in the creator and place the missing point, or recreate it. For houses written by hand in Config.Houses, complete their coords.

MLO doors do not lock, or only from one spot

Only key holders can lock MLO doors. Update to the latest version, give the player a key, and tune Config.DoorDistance and Config.DoorDuplicateDistance for wide or double doors. Furniture doors need setr game_enableDynamicDoorCreation "true".

A player is stuck inside or spawns in the void

Their "inside" flag survived a crash. From the server console or a script:

lua

exports['qs-housing']:ClearPlayerInsideByIdentifier('char1:xxxx')

"Unknown column 'inside'" means the SQL file was not imported. OneSync must be on: interiors use routing buckets.

A player cannot buy a house

Read the notification. Usually they reached Config.MaxOwnedHouses, lack money in the house's payment method (price plus 20% fees by default), or the house was taken off the market with SetHouseForSale. From the phone app they must also be within 48 m.

Rent is never charged, or charged at an odd time

The default Config.RentScheduler.Mode charges once a real month, on the day the rental started. Config.RentTime only applies with Mode = 'interval'.

A player's house disappeared

Check the Discord log for "Auto Eviction": Config.Bills.AutoEviction removes owners after MaxUnpaidBills unpaid bills (400 by default). Raise it or disable it, and reassign the house with AssignHouseToPlayer if needed.

The house is dark

The lights are off (Door Menu → lights) or there is more than one unpaid bill. Pay them in F3 → Bills.
