Books Creator turns an inventory item into a real book. A player uses a blank book, writes a cover and as many pages as they need — titles, subtitles, text and pictures — and from then on that item opens in a page-turning reader for whoever holds it. Server rules for new arrivals, a police handbook, a hospital protocol, a diary, a restaurant menu, a treasure map, the lore of your city: all of it lives inside items that can be handed over, sold, stolen or left in a stash.
Nothing is configured per book. There is no list of books in a file and no panel to fill in: every book is written in game, saved to the database the moment it is closed, and tied to the item that holds it — so the book travels with the item through every trade, drop and stash. Your own scripts can open any saved book, or a book built entirely in code, with a single call.

Book items | Every copy of the book item is its own book. A blank one opens the writer; a written one offers Open and Edit. The book follows the item through trades, drops and stashes. |
Writer | Title, author, a cover picture and a blurb, then up to 50 pages, each with a title, a subtitle, its text and a picture. Pages are reordered with arrows, and a written book can be deleted. |
Reader | A full-screen book: a leather or picture cover, two-page spreads on aged paper, page numbers, a page-turn animation and sound. |
Copies | Write a book once and hand out as many copies as you like — a rulebook for every newcomer, a manual for every officer — all pointing to the same saved book. |
Building onboarding? One server export opens a saved book for any player — the rules on first join, a briefing at a job's door, a plaque at a museum. See Exports and Events.
