Quasar Pause Menu Creator has almost no requirements. It needs no ox_lib, no oxmysql and no framework to open and draw — the eight bundled themes are compiled into the interface, so the menu works on the very first ESC, before the client has even spoken to the server.
Requirement | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Required to save | Either one. The menu opens without them, but |
MySQL database | Required to save | Holds the themes you create |
Framework | Optional | qs-core, ESX, QBX or QB-Core — also runs standalone |
| Not needed | — |
The framework is only ever asked two things: what to put on the player card, and whether somebody may open the creator. Without one, the modules that need player data hide their rows rather than printing a confident $0.
Quasar Pause Menu Creator is linked to your CFX Portal account.
Sign in to the CFX Portal using the same account used during checkout, then open Granted Assets and locate Pause Menu Creator in your asset library. Download the latest version and extract the archive.
After extracting the download, you should have the following folder:
qs-pausemenuNever rename the resource folder. It must remain qs-pausemenu — your media is served from cfx-nui-qs-pausemenu/, so a rename breaks every image and video path in your themes.
Move the qs-pausemenu folder into your server's resources directory. Although the resource can be placed anywhere inside the folder, keeping Quasar resources organized inside their own directory is recommended.
A typical installation looks like this:
resources/
└── [quasar]/
└── qs-pausemenu/Then add it to your server.cfg:
ensure qs-pausemenuThat is the whole install. The resource has no hard dependencies, so there is no loading order to respect — although your framework and your SQL driver should start before it so the adapter resolves on the first try.
Detection is retried. If
Config.Frameworkis'auto'and nothing was running when the resource started, the adapter is re-resolved once the session is up and swapped in — a start-order race does not leave you on the standalone adapter for the rest of the session.
Quasar Pause Menu Creator stores the themes you build, the live theme id and the places your players save in MySQL, and only MySQL.
Open your preferred database manager (such as phpMyAdmin, HeidiSQL, DBeaver, or Navicat), select your server's database, and execute database/sql.sql. It is plain SQL with nothing else in it, so it pastes straight into HeidiSQL.
It creates three tables:
Table | Holds |
|---|---|
| The themes you build in the creator |
| The live theme id |
| Places players save on the map |
Importing is belt and braces, not a prerequisite. The resource issues the same
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTSstatements on boot. Importing by hand is simply how you get to look at your data before the server has ever run.
The eight bundled themes are not in the database. They ship inside the interface so the menu can draw before it has spoken to anybody — which is also why there is nothing to seed. The only row the file inserts is active = 'launch'. The tables hold what you make in the creator.
Either oxmysql or mysql-async must be running.
Config.Database.driver = 'auto' -- or 'oxmysql' / 'mysql-async''auto' takes whichever it finds. With neither, the resource says so in the console and saves nothing — the menu still opens and still draws, because the bundled themes are compiled into the page, but nothing can be stored.
Either of these works, and both are in shared/config.lua:
The ACE command.pausecreator
A framework group listed in Config.Creator.adminGroups
add_ace group.admin command.pausecreator allowThe group check goes through custom/, so it works on whatever framework you run and can be changed without touching the resource. With no framework at all, ACE permissions are the whole story and everything still works.
After completing the installation, restart your FiveM server.
Join your server and press ESC. If you get your menu instead of GTA's, the install is done.
Then, with an administrator account, run:
/pausecreatorIf the editor opens, Quasar Pause Menu Creator has been installed correctly. Pick a theme on the left, rearrange it, Save, then Set live — every player gets it immediately, and nobody reconnects.
If the menu never appears on
ESC, try/pausemenufirst. It opens the same menu without the hook, so it tells you in one keystroke whether the problem is the menu or only its trigger.
