Fix common Quasar Deathmatch problems on FiveM: console closes after rename, menu not opening, lobby not created, password not working, players not revived, timeout and anticheat kicks.
What goes wrong most often, what it means, and how to fix it. Before anything else, set Config.Debug = true, restart the resource and reproduce the problem while watching the server console and the client F8 console.
The resource folder is not named qs-deathmatch. Rename it exactly — no version number, no -main suffix — and update the ensure line in server.cfg.
No supported ambulance was detected, or it starts after Deathmatch. Check that yours is in the supported list, start it before qs-deathmatch, or add a bridge for it.
The version checker could not reach the update service. It does not affect the resource.
Stand within 10 meters of Config.Marker.Pos.
The menu cannot be opened while dead.
Check the key in Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM → Deathmatch Menu.
With Config.SpotEnable = false the menu opens anywhere, but lobby actions still require the player to be within 10 meters of Config.Marker.Pos. Move it to the place where you open the menu.
Lobbies that already started are not listed.
Set the Maps and Weapons filters back to All and clear the search.
A lobby whose map is not in maps.js or whose weapon is not in guns.js is hidden. F8 shows Map not found or Weapon not found.
You already own a lobby. Each player can own one at a time.
The map is not in Config.MapData. The server console shows an error about AuthorizedMaps. This happens with Montains, which has no mountain entry by default, or with a map added only to maps.js. Add the map to Config.MapData with the same key as its picture, or remove it from maps.js. See Usage.
The password was longer than 10 characters, so the server discarded it and the lobby can no longer be joined. Close it and create it again with a password of 10 characters or less.
The name was longer than 15 characters. Use 4 to 15.
The host can only start when both teams have at least one player and every player has pressed I am ready.
The round timer reached zero. Raise Config.Timer (420 seconds by default) if rounds on your maps need more time.
They are outside the play area (You are out of the zone), or the round passed 7 minutes and sudden death started (Time is up!). If the zone is too small, raise the map's area.Size.
The weapon wheel is only locked when ox_inventory or qs-inventory is detected. Start yours before Deathmatch or add a bridge. Any other weapon is still swapped back to the lobby weapon automatically.
Config.PedSpawnLocs has 5 positions. If a team can have more than 5 players, add one position per extra player.
With FiveGuard, set Config.FiveGuard to its resource name. For other anticheats, whitelist spectator mode and the match weapons while exports['qs-deathmatch']:IsPlayerInDM(source) is true.

The name is shorter than 4 characters. The field shakes and nothing is sent.
